What you’ll be working on

Already one of the UK’s most recognisable brands, you will be responsible for defining the cinch brands’ future and leading its development and growth.  

You’ll be responsible for helping cinch transform the car buying and owning experience. You’ll cement the business as the leading, faff-free, online motoring service in the UK, ensuring cinch becomes part of everyday motoring rather than a one-off purchase.

Working with the Chief Customer Officer, you’ll set the brand and product marketing strategies. You’ll ensure they’re delivered effectively through strong leadership and collaboration with the other marketing leaders and with cinch Product, Decision Intelligence and Commercial teams.

You will be naturally proactive and entrepreneurial in a role that is both business critical and highly visible within the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies that resonate with cinch’s target audiences.
  • Enhance brand awareness, consideration, and positioning, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand message across all channels.
  • Be the guardian and champion of the cinch brand – ensure customer journeys and communications remain the right level of faff free and the correct shade of purple!
  • Deliver through-the-line campaigns across all media from planning to execution, including creative budget ownership, strategic positioning, consumer research, creative concepting, agency briefing, market deployment and results reporting.
  • Lead a high-performing in-house design team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability. Ensure agency relationships are integrated as true partnerships and extensions of the in-house team.
  • An eye for a great strapline, and the ability to critique a creative approach clearly and constructively. 
  • Drive product marketing initiatives, including product launches, positioning, and messaging, to maximize market penetration and customer engagement. Develop a deep understanding of customer journeys that lead to targeted campaigns and greater customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with other departments, to ensure alignment of brand strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the consumer and key insights, to identify target segment evolution and opportunity for the brand.

Things we look for in you

We are looking for a passionate brand and product marketer with a strong experience in brand development, and proven success in campaign planning & execution across multiple channels:

  • Proven record of success in a high growth, digital first business, which has scaled quickly.
  • Possess a wholly consumer centric mindset combined with a performance driven and data led approach
  • Operated at scale and managed large, multi-faceted, through-the-line campaigns.
  • Proven, extensive experience in a brand/product marketing role working for an ecommerce/D2C business (agency or in-house). Automotive experience a plus, but not essential.
  • Excellent communicator and influencer with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
  • Pro-active self-starter who thrives working in a high growth, scale up business.
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to thrive in fast-paced and rapidly changing environments. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.
  • A strong moral compass, with an ability to inspire confidence and create loyalty.
  • Track record of creating and maintaining an inclusive, high-performance team and cross-functional relationships.
  • High-energy, modest individual with high levels of EQ, tenacious, resilient, collaborative, and hands-on.
  • Role model and brand ambassador, who takes ownership and accountability.


  • This role is based in our London Kings Cross office in line with our hybrid policy of 2-3 days in the office per week.
  • Infrequent travel to our offices in Manchester, Corby and Hook is to be expected to drive cross-functional collaboration with cinch’s Product, Commercial and Customer teams.   


  • Initial Interview with CCO and Growth Director.
  • Second round interview with cross-functional representatives.
  • Final stage interview including presentation.
